French is an official language in 29 countries, of which: 13 countries where French is the only official language: Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, France, Gabon, Guinea, Mali, Monaco, Niger, Republic of the Congo, Senegal, Togo. While 16 countries where French is co-official alongside one or more other languages: Belgium, Burundi, Cameroon, Canada, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea , Haiti, Luxembourg, Madagascar, Rwanda, Seychelles, Switzerland, Vanuatu.
